Fast-forward to early February (~1 week after our originally scheduled stay) and I noticed a $279 charge on my credit card. I never received an email confirming my cancellation but this wasn't particularly alarming given my conversation with the rep. As a result, we asked the representative to cancel our reservation. We attempted to find alternative dates that would accommodate our schedule and align with our original hotel rate ($279) but to no avail. I called the Four Winds reservation line ~2 weeks before our stay to discuss options with the reservation specialist. Unfortunately, plans fell through in mid-January and we had to reschedule or cancel our booking. My wife and I were anxious for a night away from the kids when we made a reservation at Four Winds New Buffalo in early December.
